Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks a modeling and simulation engineer to develop, validate, and maintain physics-based and data-driven models of the Leo satellite power system. You will build simulation frameworks predicting battery state of charge, solar power generation, thermal-electrical coupling, and degradation over the lifecycle.

You will own orbit-level power simulations, correlate predictions with telemetry, and iterate model fidelity.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
3+ years of experience developing physics-based or data-driven models for electrical, power, thermal, or electromechanical systems.
3+ years of proficiency in Python or Matlab for numerical simulation, data analysis, and model development.
Experience with model validation against experimental or operational data.

Responsibilities

Develop, validate, and maintain physics-based and empirical models of the Leo satellite power system.
Build simulation frameworks that predict battery state of charge, solar array power generation, thermal-electrical coupling, and power system degradation over the satellite lifecycle.
Own the development of orbit-level power simulations and validate predictions against telemetry.
Collaborate with power systems, mission operations, and software teams to integrate models into operational services like the Power Digital Twin and testbeds.
