Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA, is seeking a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to own requirements, trade studies, and simulations for the Leo satellite power system. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
- 5+ years in electrical power systems or power electronics.
- 5+ years in simulation, modeling and requirements for electric power systems.
- Experience with Matlab or Python to process large datasets.
Responsibilities
- Own requirements, trade studies and simulations for the Leo satellite power system.
- Build electrical models of the satellite power system and assess solar array power generation.
- Manage simulations that analyze vehicle power demand across power modes and orbital parameters.
- Influence system architecture and sizing of solar array, battery, power conversion, and distribution blocks.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to improve performance and cost.
