Job summary
Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks an Electrical Systems Engineer to own requirements, trade studies and simulation analyses for the Leo satellite power system. You will build models and run simulations across operating conditions and orbital parameters to optimize performance and reduce cost.
Ideal candidates have a BS in Computer Science or related field, 3+ years in power systems or power electronics, and experience with Matlab or Python for data processing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
- 3+ years of engineering experience in electrical power systems or power electronics.
- 3+ years of experience in simulation, modeling, and requirements definition for electric power system development.
- Experience with Matlab or Python to extract, process, and store information from large datasets.
Responsibilities
- Own requirements, trade studies, and simulation analysis for the Leo satellite power system.
- Build electrical models of the satellite power system and assess solar array power generation over operating conditions and orbital parameters.
- Create and manage simulations that analyze vehicle power demand in different power modes and orbital parameters.
- Influence system architecture and sizing of solar array, battery, power conversion, and power distribution blocks.
