Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, Washington is seeking a modeling and simulation engineer to develop, validate, and maintain physics-based models of the Leo satellite power system. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline required.
  • 3+ years of experience developing physics-based or data-driven models for electrical, power, thermal, or electromechanical systems.
  • 3+ years of proficiency in Python or Matlab for numerical simulation, data analysis, and model development.
  • Experience with model validation against experimental or operational data.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and maintain physics-based and empirical models of the Leo satellite power system.
  • Build simulation frameworks that predict battery state of charge, solar array power generation, thermal-electrical coupling, and system degradation.
  • Own development of orbit-level power simulations ingesting mission plans and hardware configuration to predict power behavior.
  • Correlate model predictions against telemetry and iterate to improve fidelity.
