Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks an experienced System Development Engineer to join the satellite power systems team. Develop automation tools to determine power system health across 3,000+ satellites and run operational playbooks to troubleshoot in-flight anomalies.

Serve as a liaison between Mission Operations and Power System Design Engineering, blending hands-on support with process automation and improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience with modern programming languages (Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust).
• 3+ years of professional system development experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary operational liaison between Power System Engineering and Leo flight operations stakeholders.
• Monitor and assess power system health across the constellation.
• Develop metrics to track health and service uptime of each satellite & constellation.
• Investigate and troubleshoot in-flight anomalies, and execute operational responses.
• Document operational instructions and procedures for the benefit of other Power operators.
• Support on‑call activities for the areas your team support.
