Job summary

Amazon in Redmond, WA is seeking a Sys Dev Engineer to support OTA updates and ground/space software deployment for satellite programs. You will collaborate with Development, Product, and Support teams on high‑impact production operations and incident triage.

You will work on space operations, build automation tools, and fix issues in Python/Go code, while ensuring reliability across the constellation and on‑ground labs. This role is full‑time and on-site in the USA.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of systems development experience.
• Programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
• 1+ year of distributed systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Space Operations: supporting OTA procedures, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fixing production software issues.
• Developing tools, automation, and monitoring solutions.
• Performing software maintenance and configuration.
• Implementing fixes for internally developed code (Python / Go).
• Updating, tracking, and resolving technical challenges to improve operational excellence and system readiness.
