Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Redondo Beach, CA, seeks an Engineering Technician (Level 2/3) to support environmental and specialty testing across mechanical and electrical disciplines. This in-person role emphasizes data acquisition, test planning, and calibration of transducers, with a 9/80 schedule and opportunities to work with senior engineers.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED with 2–4 years of relevant experience, be able to lift 30 lb, and obtain DoD Top Secret/SCI

Qualifications

• Level 2: High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Level 3: High School Diploma or GED and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in structural/flight test or an integration/R&D environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Willingness to perform manual labor and lift up to 30 lb.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development, fabrication and assembly of mechanical/electromechanical components and test stands.
• Setup and operate data acquisition systems and test plans.
• Interpret engineering drawings and troubleshoot harnesses.
• Calibrate transducers (strain gages, load cells, LVDTs) with data systems.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to manage statements of work.
