Job summary

The Boeing Space and Launch Integrated Design Engineering organization in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to join the Satellite Systems Thermal and Fluid Engineering Lab Team. You will design and test mechanical systems for government and commercial satellite programs, and support development from concept through acceptance testing.

This 100% onsite role requires the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor/Master/Doctorate in engineering, CS, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
• Prior lab testing or research experience (including undergraduate).
• Experience analyzing and presenting technical data (oral or written).
• Works well in a small lab team; demonstrated teamwork.
• Motivated self-starter and takes ownership of work.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment.
• Support the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals with high-level requirements.
• Perform detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations.
• Perform spatial integration at system or component level and modify mechanisms/landing gear/ordnance systems.
• Assist in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems.
• Assist in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts.
• Work under general supervision.
