Job summary

Boeing is seeking a Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis Engineer (Associate or Experienced) for the Satellite Systems Thermal and Fluid Engineering Lab in El Segundo, CA. Qualified candidates should have a BS in engineering, lab/testing or research experience, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
• Prior lab testing experience OR prior research experience (including undergraduate research)
• Experience analyzing and presenting technical data (oral or written)
• Works well in a small lab team – demonstrated teamwork capabilities
• Motivated self-starter/quick learner and takes ownership of work

Responsibilities

• Support the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment
• Support the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers
• Perform detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installation
• Perform spatial integration at system or component level and modification of mechanisms/landing gear/ordinance systems
• Assist in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems
• Assist in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts
• Work under general supervision
