Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Operations Engineer for the Starlink Satellite materials management team in Bastrop, TX. You will drive capital projects and process improvements to optimize inventory, delivery reliability, and overall logistics within a fast-moving production environment.

The role requires collaboration with development, supply chain, and production teams, with an emphasis on data analysis, KPI development, and end-to-end process optimization.

Qualifications

• . 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and/or inventory management (including school projects, clubs, or internships)
• . Proficiency with data analytics, statistics and visualization techniques
• . Experience with inventory, production and capacity planning (MRP/ERP)
• . Strong communication skills and ability to present to engineering teams and leadership
• . Lean, six sigma and related production principles

Responsibilities

• Identify and plan upgrades to materials management related to production and site demand
• Manage material flow projects and communicate with stakeholders
• Drive improvements to increase inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, reliability and reduce waste
• Analyze root-cause failures in material flow and develop solutions
• Develop and monitor key process indicators and metrics
• Transform data to present current activities and justify improvements
• Train inventory and logistics staff on best practices and process improvements
