Job summary

Applitrack in Minnesota is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to oversee daily food preparation and service for large-quantity meals in a school setting. This role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00–2:30, and involves operating kitchen equipment, ensuring safety, and maintaining quality standards.

You will forecast meal participation, order supplies, supervise staff, train team members, enforce hygiene practices, and assist with event assignments.

Qualifications

• HS diploma and 1–2 years of large-quantity food service experience.
• ServSafe certification or within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 50 pounds safely.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily food preparation and service for large-quantity meals.
• Maintains quality/quantity standards and ensures proper food temperatures.
• Forecasts meal participation and plans production accordingly.
• Orders food and supplies to meet kitchen production needs.
• Assigns and directs kitchen staff; manages receiving, storing and serving.
• Completes daily production, usage records, and monitors inventories.
• Sets up serving line and serves breakfast and lunch.
• Trains staff on safety, sanitation and equipment operation.
