Job summary

Astranis is seeking an Electrical Test Supervisor to lead a team of test specialists and technicians through integration and test of satellites. You will manage workloads, mentor staff, and ensure smooth operations across shifts to meet production goals.

Ideal candidates have a science or engineering background, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to test complex electrical systems while driving improvements across hardware and software projects.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering field or 4 years of equivalent experience.
• Experience leading test teams and managing workloads.
• Proven ability to test and debug complex electrical systems.
• Willingness to work all shifts including weekends for 24/7 operations.
• Strong communication skills tailored to audiences.
• Experience hiring, mentoring, and training technicians.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of test specialists and technicians.
• Be the primary test lead on the production floor and manage workloads to meet weekly goals.
• Ensure cross-functional training across the team.
• Communicate needs and blockers to leadership and peers.
• Assist firefighting, issue resolution, schedules, and shift leadership.
• Collaborate with leaders to align priorities and timelines.
• Hire, onboard, and train new specialists.
• Lead hardware and software development projects to streamline production.
• Take ownership of and maintain specialist work areas.
