Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies Corp. in San Francisco seeks an Electrical Test Supervisor to lead our team of test specialists and technicians through integration and test of Astranis's satellites, both current generation and new!

This role prioritizes test operations, issue escalation, and maintaining high quality as we scale production. You will hire, mentor, and train staff, manage workloads to hit weekly goals, and drive cross-functional collaboration on hardware and software development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or engineering or 4 years total equivalent technical experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to tailor communications to audience.
• Demonstrated leadership among peers.
• Experience testing and debugging complex electrical systems.
• Experience training others and implementing processes to raise the overall bar in software/hardware/debug/safety.
• Willing to work all shifts and/or weekends, including 24/7 support for critical campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of test specialists and technicians on AES satellites.
• Be primary point-of-contact for test on the production floor and manage workloads to hit weekly goals.
• Ensure cross-functional training across the team for consistency.
• Elevate needs and blockers to leadership and other teams.
• Assist in firefighting, issue resolution, schedules, and shift leadership.
• Collaborate with other leaders to align priorities, resources, and timelines.
• Hire, onboard, and train new specialists in daily operations and responsibilities.
• Lead hardware and software development projects that streamline satellite production.
• Maintain clean, organized specialist work areas.
