Astranis Space Technologies is hiring a Hardware/Production Test Software Engineer to design high-level software architecture for vehicle integration and test operations. In this role you will collaborate with multiple engineering teams to create and implement test plans and develop software for automated testing at component and integrated levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE or equivalent
• 2–5+ years in embedded systems or hardware development/testing
• 3+ years Python
• 1+ year Linux and shell CLI
• 1+ year version control (git/mercurial/svn)
• Hands-on, fast-paced environment with hands-on design and development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience reading schematics and data sheets, debugging circuits interfacing with embedded software

Responsibilities

• Design high-level software architecture to support vehicle integration and test operations
• Write drivers for ground support equipment and work with test instruments
• Develop software for automated testing at component and integrated levels
• Refine electrical specifications to validate critical flight components
• Support all development phases from proposal through successful test and flight
• Implement ground control and telemetry software
• Assist in recruiting and hiring teammates
