Job summary

Relative Dynamics seeks a Mid-Level System Engineer to join our Sioux Falls team on-site supporting USGS EROS. You will develop ground station systems, work with RF equipment, and collaborate with engineers and operators on mission-driven projects.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years in satellite communications, a relevant engineering degree, and ability to obtain a government clearance. US citizenship and residency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Satellite Communications/Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in Satellite Communications Engineering or equivalent; experience with satellite ground systems or LEO is a plus.
• US Citizenship is required due to ITAR requirements.
• Three years of continuous residency in the U.S. for Government Security credential eligibility.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check and background investigation for facility access.

Responsibilities

• Develop ground-based satellite communications systems in accordance with mission requirements (antenna, RF equipment, ground station).
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, and Operations teams and coordinate activities.
• Conduct systems engineering activities per the Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP).
• Support defining and documenting interface definitions and requirements.
• Perform architecture and trade studies and execute formal integration testing.
