Job summary
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Space Communications Payload Systems Engineer in El Segundo, CA, seeks an Associate, Experienced, or Lead professional to design, develop, and deliver advanced space communication payloads.
The role spans the full program lifecycle from concept development to on-orbit operations, collaborating with customers and internal teams. Candidates should have strong experience in RF/digital/optical payloads and MATLAB/C++ tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field required.
- Experience with communications subsystems or units.
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop RF, digital, and/or optical satellite communications systems and payload architectures.
- Define and verify space communication unit, subsystem and system requirements and interfaces.
- Perform system-level CONOPS development, functional analysis, RF and Optical performance analysis and decomposition.
- Support system-level integration and validation.
- Develop analysis tools using MATLAB and object-oriented software platforms.
- Develop and verify system algorithms that meet functional and performance requirements.
