Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an Associate Space Communications Systems Engineer Analyst to join the team in El Segundo, CA. You will contribute to design and analysis of space systems across lifecycle stages, including business development, preliminary and critical design, validation, verification and operations.

You will analyze RF links, compute capacity, and perform waveform analysis for space-based communications systems.

Qualifications

Requires US citizenship per security clearance; ability to obtain a US Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or related field.
Experience developing or using mathematical models to show compliance to system requirements.
Experience with RF links, capacity analysis, or waveform analysis for space-based communications systems.
Programming experience in Python, MATLAB, C++, or Java.

Responsibilities

Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to assist with analyses, design, development and verification of system solutions.
Assists with analyses to define system performance requirements and ensure interface compatibility.
Assists with analyses to optimize total system architecture and affordability.
Assists with analyses for quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
