Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space and Security in El Segundo, CA seeks DSP Algorithms Engineers (Lead or Senior) for a contracted assignment to design and develop space-based communication systems for national security programs.

You will lead a motivated team, interact with customers and suppliers, and contribute to system definition, development, integration and in-orbit operations across satellite programs.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience in DSP and digital communications techniques.
• 3+ years Matlab/Simulink.
• 5+ years core DSP and signal processing theory.
• 3+ years systems engineering.
• 1+ years FPGA/ASIC experience.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing RF and digital satellite communication systems.
• Developing and verifying multi-rate, fixed-point signal processing algorithms.
• Conducting performance analysis of signal processing models.
• Performing waveform development and characterization.
• Performing trade studies.
• Supporting integration and test of payloads and spacecraft from unit level through in-orbit operations.
• Supporting HDL-level design and verification.
• Performing detailed system design and verification activities.
• Leading teams and IR&D activities.
