Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field.
• 15+ years in aerospace BD/PM/SE.
• Knowledge of government acquisition processes and national security.
• Proven track record securing large contracts (> $20M).
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Willing to travel up to 50% domestically/internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead satellite-focused business development initiatives for defense applications.
• Develop capture strategies for large defense contracts and civil space programs.
• Engage with key stakeholders to build and maintain relationships.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare compelling proposals.
• Monitor industry trends to inform strategies and growth.
• Grow opportunities with existing customers and identify new ones.
• Present Rocket Lab capabilities for satellite solutions and bus offerings.
• Lead or participate in proposal activities including cost and technical content.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficiency.
• Represent Rocket Lab at industry conferences and meetings.
• Travel as needed for opportunities.
