Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Production Technician to join the Starlink program in Redmond, WA. Responsibilities include building electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies, PCB assembly, and wiring for satellite components, with testing and prototype development in a fast-paced aerospace setting.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1+ years of hands-on experience, with 2+ years in electro-mechanical manufacturing preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalency.
  • 1+ years hands-on work experience.
  • 2+ years electro-mechanical manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read layouts, drawings, and procedures.
  • Experience with electrical wiring.
  • Willing to work all shifts including 2nd shift.
  • Lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Build electrical sub-assemblies and assemble satellite components.
  • Assemble PCB into product chassis.
  • Build battery modules, solar modules and arrays.
  • Perform wire harnessing, soldering and de-soldering.
  • Support conformal coating, masking and epoxy processes.
  • Conduct functional testing of hardware.
  • Operate automated equipment and troubleshoot.
  • Support prototype test capabilities for spacecraft components.
  • Assist in selecting and installing test equipment and data acquisition systems.
  • Perform test setups including thermal, shock, thermal vacuum and vibration.
