Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Production Technician for Starlink in Redmond to assemble, integrate, and test satellite components. The role involves building electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies, conducting functional tests, and supporting prototype development in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Responsibilities include wiring, PCB assembly, test setup, and operating automated equipment. Candidates should have strong reading of drawings and good communication skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1+ years hands-on work experience needed.
  • 2+ years hands-on electro-mechanical/manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and work from layout drawings, schematics, and assembly procedures.
  • Proficient with PC, Windows, and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with electrical wiring.
  • Experience setting up and running tests.

Responsibilities

  • Build electrical sub-assemblies and assemble satellite components and sub-assemblies.
  • Assemble PCB assemblies into product chassis.
  • Build battery modules, solar modules, and solar arrays.
  • Perform wire harnessing, soldering, and de-soldering of through-hole and SMT components.
  • Support conformal coating, masking, epoxy application, and related processes.
  • Conduct functional testing of built hardware including setup, instrumentation, testing, and teardown.
  • Operate complex automated equipment, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Support development of prototype test capabilities for spacecraft components and life tests.
  • Assist in identifying, installing, and implementing test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
  • Perform test setups across thermal, shock, thermal vacuum, and vibration regimes.
