Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking a SAT (Student Assistance Team) Coordinator for Herndon Consolidated Elementary and Middle School. The six-month extracurricular contract pays a total of $3,000, with half paid at the end of the first semester and the other half at year end.

The role involves organizing SAT meetings, data review, and coordinating with parents, teachers, and outside agencies to support at-risk students and document interventions. Per WV Code for extracurricular positions.

Qualifications

• Valid WV Teacher Certification, Licensure, and/or Both.
• Knowledge of the community, school and enrolled students is critical; preference given to current school faculty.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and organize SAT meetings with at‑risk students, parents, and school personnel.
• Guide SAT in facilitating effective meetings, reviewing data, and recommending interventions.
• Support administrators and teachers in delivering instructional and behavioral interventions using data to differentiate.
• Assist SAT members, principals, and parents in understanding data used for referrals.
• Schedule SAT meetings and notify members and parents.
• Maintain official SAT meeting records and outcomes.
• Coordinate with outside agencies as needed and summarize discussions.
• Maintain a SAT log for all meetings and assist with SAT outcomes.
