Qualifications

• Valid WV Teacher Certification, Licensure, and/or Both.
• Knowledge of the community, school and enrolled students; preference will be given to current faculty or school counselors.
• Demonstrates qualifications further detailed in job description.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and organize SAT meetings with at-risk students, parents, and school personnel.
• Provide guidance to SAT meetings, review data, identify interventions, and review referral files before evaluation submission.
• Support principals and teachers in delivering instructional and behavioral interventions, using data to differentiate instruction, and documenting interventions.
• Assist SAT members, principals, and parents in understanding data used for referrals.
• Schedule SAT meetings and notify members and parents of meetings.
• Maintain official records of SAT meetings and outcomes.
• Assist teachers with SAT meeting preparation and outcomes.
• Coordinate with outside agencies as needed.
• Facilitate team interaction at SAT meetings.
• Summarize discussions and decisions.
• Maintain a SAT log for all meetings.
• Other duties as assigned by the school principal.
