West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking a SAT (Student Assistance Team) Coordinator for Berlin McKinney Elementary School. This contract/hourly extracurricular assignment involves organizing SAT meetings, coordinating with parents and staff, and documenting interventions and outcomes for at-risk students.

The role requires WV Teacher Certification or Licensure, knowledge of the local community and school, and the ability to facilitate data-driven interventions.

Qualifications

• A valid WV Teacher Certification, Licensure, and/or Both.
• Knowledge of the community, school and enrolled students is critical in this position; therefore, preference will be given to school counselor, administrators, or current faculty at the school will be given.
• Demonstrates qualifications further detailed in job description.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and organize student team assistance meetings with at risk students, parents, and school personnel.
• Provide guidance to SAT on facilitating effective SAT meetings, reviewing data, identifying and recommending interventions, and reviewing referral files before evaluation submission.
• Support principal and classroom teachers in delivering instructional and behavioral interventions using data to differentiate and document interventions.
• Assist SAT members, principals, and parents in understanding data used for student referral.
• Schedule SAT Meetings and notify members and parents of meetings.
• Maintain the official records of SAT meetings and outcomes.
• Assist teachers with SAT meeting preparation and outcomes.
• Coordinate with outside agencies and administrators as needed.
• Facilitate team interaction at SAT meetings and summarize discussions and decisions.
