Job summary

Clear Resolution Consulting is seeking an Expert SAR Imagery Scientist to work on-site in Springfield, VA, supporting NGA-related imagery exploitation. The role requires TS/SCI clearance, 40-hour weeks, and a strong background in SAR theory, software (Python, MATLAB), and related tools.

Remote work is not allowed. Candidates should have a Master’s degree with 12+ years of experience, or a STEM Bachelor's with 17+ years, or 21+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• SAR expert with understanding of collection, phenomenology, image formation and exploitation products.
• Develop, test and evaluate new algorithms, processes, methodologies and SAR products using Python, MATLAB, and related tools.
• Communicate SAR capabilities to technical and non‑technical audiences.

• Proficient with Python

Required

• 6+ years of experience as a SAR expert with understanding of collection, phenomenology, image formation process, and exploitation products
• Experience with SARPy and Matlab SAR toolbox
• Experience with RNIIS, information theoretic-based image quality metrics, SAR imagery quality metrics, and sensor metadata (e.g., graze, squint)
• Experience exploiting SAR to determining the occurrence and location of an OOI
• Experience developing, testing, and evaluating new algorithms, processes, methodologies, and products using SAR imagery with tools like Python, MATLAB, Google Earth Engine
• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences about the availability and capabilities of SAR
• Deep understanding of the principles of remote sensing and imagery processing and advanced exploitation methods
• Desired: Experience applying CV and machine learning to SAR imagery

Compensation

Base salaries at CRC are determined by various factors, including work location, an individual’s education, knowledge, skills, experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected salary range for this position is $100,000 to $165,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of CRC’s total compensation package.
