Job summary

Groundswell Corporation is seeking a Training Specialist to design, develop, and deliver training programs for an SAP ERP environment, primarily supporting the Department of Defense. The candidate will conduct classroom courses, workshops, and develop training materials while ensuring that training objectives are met.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of relevant experience as a training specialist, familiarity with SAP, and must be a U.S. citizen with an active DoD Secret security clearance. Comprehensive benefits, including medical plans and 401(k) match, are offered.

Job description

We are seeking a Training Specialist with experience supporting the Department of Defense to design, develop, and deliver training programs for an SAP ERP environment.

Responsibilities

• Research necessary to develop and revise training courses.
• Develop and revise courses and prepare appropriate training catalogs.
• Prepare student materials such as course manuals, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, and course critique forms.
• Conduct formal classroom courses, workshops, and seminars.
• Prepare reports and monitor training tasks in support of the Contractor Program Manager and government sponsor(s).
• Provide input to the Project Lead and Contractor Program Manager on training validation and modifications.
• Work with clients to ensure training materials satisfy objectives defined in the training requirements.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplined teams to define and design processes and procedures for the training solution in SAP and related application systems.
• Prepare progress reports for internal leadership and for clients, and monitor project progress.
• Mitigate risks, address issues, interface with clients, and keep leadership informed on project status.
• Develop estimates and program schedules for multiple training alternatives as needed.
• Support white papers, root cause analysis, and other solution‑related documentation.
• Provide support to management and perform duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen (no dual status) with an active DoD Secret security clearance (or higher).
• 1–3 years relevant experience as a training specialist in an ERP environment.
• 2 years focused specifically on SAP.
• 1 year SAP training experience in FI, CO, FM or Supply Management.
• Experience in agile development implementation process, preferably SAFe and/or DevSecOps.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Must be local to the DC Metro area and willing to be on client site in DC up to 5 days per week.

Salary range: $59,144.00 – $129,498.00.
