Job summary

The SAP TM Functional Expert will configure SAP Transportation Management solutions (BN4L and Advanced TM) to align with business requirements. This remote role includes regular regional and international travel, with monthly visits to New Jersey, and is based in the Eastern Time Zone.

You will liaise between business users and IT, lead requirements sessions, and ensure timely resolution of issues while optimizing transport processes for our organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, SCM, business administration or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on SAP Transportation Management experience including configuration and implementation.
• Expertise in BN4L and Advanced TM functionalities.
• Able to communicate complex concepts clearly to both business and IT stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and escalation management skills.

Responsibilities

Role Summary

The SAP TM Functional Expert plays a critical role in shaping and optimizing transportation management processes for our organization. This position is responsible for configuring SAP TM solutions, ensuring alignment between business requirements and technical execution, and acting as a key liaison between business and IT stakeholders. The role is based in the Eastern Time Zone, with regular regional and international travel, including monthly visits to New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and customize SAP Transportation Management (TM) solutions, including BN4L and Advanced TM modules, to meet evolving business needs.
• Lead requirement gathering sessions with cross-functional teams, translating business objectives into actionable SAP TM configurations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between business users and IT, facilitating clear and effective communication.
• Identify, document, and escape critical issues appropriately to ensure timely resolution and minimal business disruption.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external teams to drive project delivery, solution adoption, and ongoing system optimization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP Transportation Management, including configuration and implementation.
• Demonstrated expertise in BN4L and Advanced TM functionalities.
• Proven ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both business and IT stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and escalation management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Professional SAP TM certification or equivalent credentials.
• Experience with regional and international SAP TM deployments.
• Familiarity with change management and project leadership in large-scale SAP environments.

Travel Requirements

• Approximately 25% regional and international travel required.
• Base location: Eastern Time Zone (with monthly travel to New Jersey).
• Ability and willingness to travel as needed to support project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
