Job summary

AlphaGov, delivering public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, utilities, and related agencies, seeks an SAP Public Sector Consultant for remote, project-based work. There is no guaranteed assignment and travel may be required.

You will map agency processes to SAP modules, plan configurations, testing, and cutover, and assist with proposal narratives when authorized. We expect hands-on SAP delivery for public-sector clients, depth in at least one core SAP public-sector area,

Qualifications

• Hands-on SAP delivery for a government/public-sector organization as a functional lead or senior consultant.
• Depth in at least one SAP public-sector finance, procurement, payroll, grants, or funds management.
• Experience with testing, data conversion, and cutover on an SAP project.
• Able to explain your work in a proposal narrative without overstating your role.
• Comfortable as a 1099 project-based collaborator, with occasional client travel.

Responsibilities

• Support SAP public-sector pursuits and, when a contract is awarded, the related functional workstreams.
• Map agency finance, procurement, payroll, or grants processes to SAP public-sector modules.
• Plan configuration, testing, data conversion, and cutover for the modules you know.
• Translate agency requirements into a staffing approach and past-performance narrative for proposals, only when the candidate has authorized naming.
• Advise on integrations between SAP and legacy finance, HR, or procurement systems.
• Prepare training and go-live readiness materials for agency users.
• Flag gaps in scope, data, or agency readiness before a proposal commits to them.

Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research.
