AlphaGov, a government-focused consulting practice, seeks an SAP Public Sector Consultant for remote, project-based work with client agencies nationwide. Engagements are remote-first with occasional travel; there is no guaranteed assignment.

The role requires hands-on SAP delivery and module depth in public-sector finance, procurement, payroll, grants, or funds management. You will map processes to SAP modules, plan configuration and cutover, and contribute to proposal narratives when naming is

Qualifications

• Hands-on SAP delivery for a government or public-sector organization.
• Depth in at least one SAP public-sector module (finance, procurement, payroll, grants, or funds management).
• Experience with testing, data conversion, and cutover on SAP projects.
• Ability to describe work in a proposal narrative without overstating role.
• Comfortable as a 1099 project-based collaborator with occasional travel.

• Map agency finance, procurement, payroll, or grants processes to SAP modules.
• Plan configuration, testing, data conversion, and cutover for modules.

AlphaGov is seeking an SAP Public Sector Consultant for remote, project-based work with cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related public agencies. There is no guaranteed assignment.

What you’ll do:

• Support SAP public-sector pursuits and, when a contract is awarded, the related functional workstreams
• Map agency finance, procurement, payroll, or grants processes to SAP public-sector modules
• Plan configuration, testing, data conversion, and cutover for the modules you know
• Translate agency requirements into a staffing approach and past-performance narrative for proposals, only when the candidate has authorized naming
• Advise on integrations between SAP and legacy finance, HR, or procurement systems
• Prepare training and go-live readiness materials for agency users
• Flag gaps in scope, data, or agency readiness before a proposal commits to them

Requirements

Required:

• Hands-on SAP delivery for a government or other public-sector organization, as a functional lead or senior consultant
• Depth in at least one of SAP public-sector finance, procurement, payroll, grants, or funds management
• Experience with testing, data conversion, and cutover on an SAP project
• Able to explain your work in a proposal narrative without overstating your role
• Comfortable as a 1099 project-based collaborator, with occasional client travel

Nice to have:

• SAP work for a city, county, state, school system, or utility
• A current or prior SAP certification relevant to the modules above
