Job summary

The Fountain Group seeks an experienced SAP Project Manager for a fully remote role, supporting global SAP initiatives including ECC enhancement projects and transformation programs. The ideal candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and system integration partners across time zones.

Responsibilities include project planning, governance, risk and issue management, status reporting, and ensuring delivery within scope, schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• 8+ years of project coordination/PMO experience in enterprise IT.
• 5+ years supporting SAP projects, preferably SAP ECC environments.
• Knowledge of SAP processes and ERP lifecycles.
• Experience with project tools: MS Project, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Smartsheet.
• Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid delivery.

• Ensure adherence to PMO standards and governance processes.
• Monitor budgets and resource allocation; guide governance practices and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities and align global project teams.

The Fountain Group is currently seeking an SAP Project Manager for a prominent client of ours. This is a 100% Remote Role. Details for the position are as follows:

Pay Rate - $65– 85/hr on W2

6 months Contract Role (HIGH Possibility for further extension)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to support global SAP initiatives, including SAP ECC enhancement projects and transformation programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong project coordination and project management skills, experience working within enterprise SAP environments, and the ability to effectively coordinate global cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and system integration partners. Experience with SAP ECC is required. Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations, migrations, rollouts, or transformation programs is highly desirable. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, governance, and stakeholder management capabilities, along with a solid understanding of SAP project methodologies and ERP implementation lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning, Delivery & Governance
  • Coordinate SAP projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation through deployment and hypercare.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource plans.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, issues, dependencies, and resource constraints.
  • Lead project status meetings, governance reviews, steering committee updates, and stakeholder communications.
  • Maintain project documentation, RAID logs, dashboards, executive reporting, and KPI tracking.
  • Ensure adherence to PMO standards, governance processes, and project management methodologies.
  • Monitor project budgets, resource allocation, and overall project health.
  • Provide guidance on project governance practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stakeholder & Team Coordination
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, technical teams, system integrators, and leadership.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities and ensure alignment across global project teams.
  • Manage action items, dependencies, decision logs, and issue resolution activities.
  • Support organizational change management, business readiness, training, deployment planning, and communications.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple business units, locations, and time zones.
• SAP Program Support
  • Support SAP ECC enhancement projects, integrations, upgrades, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Participate in SAP S/4HANA assessment, migration, implementation, and rollout programs.
  • Coordinate testing cycles, defect management, cutover planning, deployment activities, and post-go-live support.
  • Support vendor management and third-party partner coordination.
  • Assist project teams in ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of project coordination, project management, or PMO experience within enterprise IT environments.
• 5+ years supporting SAP projects, preferably in SAP ECC environments firmly required.
• Strong understanding of SAP business processes and ERP implementation lifecycles.
• Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, organizational, and facilitation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and priorities.
• Experience coordinating geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, upgrade, or transformation programs.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification.
• Experience supporting system integration, data migration, testing, cutover, and deployment activities.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology.
• Experience working with global delivery teams and system integration partners.
