Job summary

GE Aerospace in Lafayette, IN is seeking a SAP Production Engineer to maintain accuracy of ERP data, publish work instructions for MRO processes, and implement process improvements across engineering and production.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing/engineering, a related degree or equivalent experience, and familiarity with aviation maintenance data and SAP/OASIS ERP systems. Excellent collaboration and leadership skills are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; or a high school diploma with at least 4 years of manufacturing or engineering experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or engineering experience.
  • Experience with aviation maintenance data is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all CFM LEAP technical configuration data in the ERP system.
  • Create and maintain disassembly, assembly, inspection and repair work instructions for MRO processes.
  • Review engine shop manual changes for impact on shop instructions.
  • Review service bulletins and ensure data is loaded accurately in the ERP system.
  • Ensure system data complies with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as primary contact for ERP data errors and corrections.
  • Generate and maintain functional process maps for Engineering and Production.
  • Assist in simplification and cost-out initiatives.
  • Support Quality with corrective actions and close-outs.
  • Identify best practices and implement improvements for cycle time and cost.
