Job description

AP Solution Architect will provide leadership for the order-to-cash (OTC) processes of all Client business units. A successful SAP Solution Architect should have previous hands-on experience in 3-4 full life cycle SAP implementation projects as an SD (sales-distribution) lead, has a strong understanding of MM (material management) and FICO (finance/controlling) modules and very experienced in revenue recognition, pricing methods and intercompany revenue recognition. Implementation experience across multiple currencies and countries is preferred. The candidate also has a good knowledge of business reporting solutions with SAP components (ABAP reports, BW, Business Objects).

This role will assume responsibilities for the business requirement and gap analysis, blueprint efforts, managing solution development efforts following the Client SAP solution template, and go-live of new implementations. Directing, configuring and delivering business solutions across the core functional modules (SD/MM/FICO). Experience with process and system optimization and developing business facing roadmaps.

The SAP Functional Configurator – OTC will report to the OTC Architect. The architect will be responsible for the performance management of the team, coordination and assignment of workload as well as mentoring the resources.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Understanding business requirements and utilizing standard SAP and company's SAP template to incorporate business needs. Determining workarounds where necessary to accomplish business requests.
• In-depth knowledge of and hands-on system configuration in all areas of SD with an understanding of integration between other SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, CRM) and their impact.
• SAP design, executing SD configuration, functional documentation and working with developers, testing plans, execution and results (unit, regression, integration, UAT), business and system documentation, process flows, training materials and end user training execution.
• Leading and running business process requirements gathering sessions as well as system walk through and integration testing scenarios.
• Excellent working knowledge of the integration points with other SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, PP etc.). Knowledge and configuration of CRM as well as MM/Purchasing a plus. Understanding of business processes in Sales (contracts), reporting and Finance.
• Support the onboarding and training of Super Users. This includes providing technical training and functional training. Facilitate knowledge transfer, communication and interaction.
• Persuasive and convincing advocate of the necessity for a centrally-owned template approach in a global implementation.
• Liaison between business and technical teams. Writing functional specs and working closely with developers to complete necessary assignments.
• Implement and fix defects/issues in production after testing and coordination of testing and end user sign off.
• Experience working with SAP Solution Manager and CHARM.
• Knowledge of the ASAP project methodology or a related project methodology.
• Self-motivated, team player with ability to work and manage offshore resources.
• Ability and experience of working in a transforming environment.
