Job Description
Our client is a global consulting partner delivering outcomes across SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft, and Data/AI. They help enterprises modernize core operations and scale with confidence. We are seeking a hands‑on S/4HANA Order‑to‑Cash (OTC) Architect to lead end‑to‑end OTC solutioning—while personally configuring, prototyping, and guiding build teams. You’ll own the blueprint through hyper‑care, drive integration with adjacent platforms (EWM, TM, IBP, BTP), and ensure performance, compliance, and business outcomes at scale.
Scope & Solution Domains
- Core OTC / SD: Business Partner (BP), sales org model, quotations, orders, deliveries, billing, intercompany and third‑party processes, consignment, returns/complaints, credit/debit memos.
- Pricing & Conditions: Advanced pricing, condition techniques, rebates/settlements, S/4 condition contracts, scales/exclusions, variant pricing.
- Availability & Promising: aATP (substitutions, allocations, backorder processing), supply assignment alignment with IBP.
- Logistics & Fulfillment: Delivery scheduling, picking/packing, PGI; integration with EWM (embedded/decentralized) and TM for freight units/charges.
- Billing & Revenue: SD billing, Fiori billing apps, FI integration, tax (Vertex/Thomson), RAR exposure for revenue policies (nice‑to‑have).
- Credit & Risk: FSCM Credit Management, scoring, exposures, checks, dispute/collections touchpoints.
- Global Trade: GTS/S/4 International Trade touchpoints (sanctions screening, embargo, ECCN/HTS basics).
- Integration & Extensibility: SAP Integration Suite (CPI), IDoc/OData/API Mgmt, EDI partners; BTP side‑by‑side (RAP/CAP) and Fiori/UI5 for operational UX.
- Data & Quality: Data model for materials/customers/condition records; migration/cutover, pricing/credit master, open orders/deliveries/billing; embedded analytics (CDS).
- Governance & Ops: NFRs, performance/SLA design, monitoring, error handling, transport strategy (ChaRM/Cloud ALM/gCTS), test automation (e.g., Tosca).
What You’ll Do
- Own the OTC architecture across Greenfield/Brownfield/Selective Data Transition programs from discovery through hyper‑care.
- Configure hands‑on in SD/OTC (pricing, aATP, credit, delivery/billing) and build prototypes to validate fit‑to‑standard vs. extensions.
- Lead end‑to‑end process design (Lead‑to‑Cash handoffs), decision logs, and executive‑ready design reviews.
- Drive integration designs with EWM/TM/IBP/Finance, 3PL/EDI providers; define monitoring, error handling, and runbooks.
- Define cutover strategy (master/transactional objects) and reconciliation; establish KPIs and operational dashboards.
- Champion quality & DevOps: code/config standards, peer reviews, transport governance, test strategy (incl. automation).
- Support pre‑sales/SOWs/estimating and solution reviews; mentor consultants and enforce delivery excellence.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years SAP experience with 7+ years focused on S/4HANA OTC/SD (public/private cloud or on‑prem).
- Led 3+ end‑to‑end S/4 implementations as the OTC solution/enterprise architect (one enterprise‑scale).
- Deep configuration in SD (pricing/conditions, order types, delivery/billing, intercompany, returns) and aATP.
- Strong exposure to EWM/TM integration; FSCM Credit, tax engines (Vertex/Thomson), and EDI.
- Hands‑on integration with SAP Integration Suite (CPI), IDoc/OData/APIs; experience with BTP extensions and Fiori.
- Proven cutover/migration for OTC objects (BP, customer/material master, pricing/credit, open docs) and finance touchpoints.
- Excellent stakeholder management with VP/CXO audiences; crisp documentation and decision‑making.
- Must relocate to Carmel, IN.
Preferred Qualifications
- RAR experience (policy design, POBs, integration with SD billing).
- Experience with RISE with SAP, hyperscalers (Azure/AWS/GCP), and Cloud ALM.
- Industry depth in manufacturing/CPG/life sciences/automotive.
- SAP certifications in SD/S/4; knowledge of GTS or International Trade is a plus.
Key Attributes
- Builder‑leader who architects the solution and contributes configuration.
- Pragmatic, outcome‑driven, strong ownership and follow‑through.
- Clear, direct communicator; coaches teams to high standards.
