The SAP Electric Ops Work Management Delivery organization provides SAP IT services to the Electric line of business. The organization is responsible for strategic technology planning, roadmap development, solution design, solution delivery, and solution support.

Position Summary

The IT SAP Functional Analyst UI Planner is responsible for configuring, implementing, maintaining, and upgrading UI Planner modules. The analyst analyzes business requirements, creates functional design documents, and performs system configuration and localization to support business and IT needs. This role acts as a strategic partner and liaison in technology decisions, providing ongoing support and developing integrated IT and business solutions.

Responsibilities

Business Support and Consulting:

• Define standard processes in UI Planner and drive adoption in Finance areas.
• Analyze complex business processes across UI Planner modules.
• Understand current and future business environments; anticipate and meet business needs using UI Planner capabilities.
• Identify and propose IT solutions for cross-organizational business problems, negotiating requirements and deliverables.
• Evaluate system customizations, assessing risks and costs, advocating for standard functionalities to reduce future costs.

Functional Analysis:

• Automate and optimize UI Planner systems.
• Map business requirements to SAP S4 / SAP BW4HANA capabilities and configure accordingly.
• Review design and technical specifications for alignment with business needs.
• Perform configuration, quality review, and testing activities.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of experience in Information Technology.
• 8 years as a Functional Analyst in UI Planner.
• Experience with project creation, estimation, and approval processes.

Desired:

• Experience in automating processes to prevent data issues.
• Knowledge of Month-End Close Processes.
• Familiarity with UI Planner Integration Tools and best practices in SDLC and ETL.
• Expertise in UI Planner Financial Model, report construction, interfaces, and system design.
• Experience with additional modules like Regulatory and Rate Design, PlannerDash, Shared Tables, etc.
• Project management experience in IT transformation and software implementation.
• Proficiency in SQL and database architecture for interfaces.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and deploy fixes quickly.
• Strong liaison skills between finance, IT, and vendors.
• Ability to design training and create documentation.
• Understanding of Utility Finance and Regulated Accounting concepts.
• Experience with Rate Case processes and regulatory activities.
• Background in Financial Forecasting or Utility FP&A preferred.
• Familiarity with PowerPlan, SAP, Oracle, and other ERP systems for utilities.
• Proven end-to-end process design and implementation skills in UI Planner.
• Development experience in Java preferred.
