Principal IT SAP Functional Analyst - UI Planner

• Define standard processes in UIPlanner and drive adaptation in Finance areas.
• Analyze end-to-end complex business processes across all modules within UIPlanner.
• Understand in detail the current and future business environment of the organization; effectively anticipate, identify, and meet business needs using an integrated approach leveraging existing and new UIPlanner capabilities.
• Identify, propose, and influence IT solutions to complex cross-organizational business problems utilizing ERP capabilities; negotiate requirements and deliverables across multiple business and IT stakeholders.
• Evaluate current system customizations to help partners understand risks and costs, advocating for standard functionalities to reduce future implementation costs and TCO.

Functional Analysis:

• Automate and optimize UIPlanner system processes.
• Map business requirements to SAP S4 / SAP BW4HANA system capabilities and configure accordingly.
• Review design and technical specifications for alignment with business solutions.
• Perform UIPlanner configuration, quality reviews, and testing activities.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of experience in Information Technology.
• 8 years as a Functional Analyst in UIPlanner.
• Experience creating checks and balances to prevent data issues in automated processes.
• Knowledge of Month-End Close Processes, UIPlanner Integration Tools, SDLC, and ETL best practices.
• Expertise in UIPlanner Financial Model, including calculation configuration, report construction, and interface design.
• Preferred expertise in additional UIPlanner Modules such as Regulatory and Rate Design, PlannerDash, Shared Tables, Capital Planning, Budget, Plant Book / Plant Tax, and Customer Revenue.
• Experience managing IT transformation and software implementation projects.
• Expertise in SQL and database architecture for UIPlanner interfaces.
• Ability to investigate issues, isolate causes, and deploy fixes quickly.
• Ability to liaise effectively between finance, IT, and external vendors.
• Experience designing training plans and creating documentation.
• Broad understanding of Utility Finance and Regulated Accounting, including concepts like deferred accounting, CWIP/AFUDC, rate base, revenue requirements, and rate design.
• Experience with Rate Case processes and regulatory activities.
• Background in Financial Forecasting or Utility FP&A preferred.
• Familiarity with PowerPlan, SAP, Oracle, and other ERP/accounting systems for utilities.
• Proven track record in end-to-end process design and implementation in UIPlanner, including requirements gathering, configuration, report design, and interface construction.
• Development experience in Java preferred.
