Job summary

EY seeks an SAP ABAP Manager to lead delivery of SAP ABAP solutions across full project lifecycles for diverse clients in the United States. You’ll translate business requirements into scalable ABAP-based innovations, guide teams, and collaborate with client stakeholders in an agile, risk-conscious environment.

You’ll focus on ABAP development, S/4HANA integration, and UI5/Fiori interfaces, while traveling 40-60% to engage with clients and ensure high-quality outcomes within EY’s hybrid model.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree (4-year degree).
• Typically, no less than 4 - 6 years of hands‑on experience in SAP ABAP development and programming.
• Strong expertise in ABAP, including OO ABAP, modularization techniques, and debugging/troubleshooting.
• Proven experience designing, developing, and enhancing ABAP‑based solutions, including reports, interfaces, forms, enhancements, and OData/Web Services.
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA and ECC, including integration across SAP modules and familiarity with ABAP on HANA concepts.
• Proficiency in SAP Fiori/UI5 development and integration with ABAP back‑end services.
• Strong understanding of SAP Data Dictionary objects, database concepts, data modeling, and performance tuning/optimization.
• Experience working within Agile delivery models and exposure to DevOps practices in SAP environments.
• Familiarity with SAP technologies such as Solution Manager, PI/PO (or CPI), SAP LT, Data Services, and SAP Security.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce client‑ready documentation and support client‑facing discussions.
• Ability to research client inquiries and stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and leading practices.
• A flexibility and willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 40-60%.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and feedback to team members, ensuring successful task completion.
• Lead workstreams and engage with external clients during sessions and delivery.
