Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Sanitation, Warehouse associate to maintain a clean and safe work environment in our warehouse facilities in New Orleans. You will perform general janitorial tasks across dry, cooler, and freezer areas, supporting daily operations and safety compliance under company guidelines.

The role requires basic high school education and 6+ months of sanitation/cleaning experience, with drug and background checks.

Qualifications

• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Maintains health and safety by following company policies and guidelines.
• Performs cleaning duties in warehouse areas (dry, cooler, freezer) and office areas as assigned.
• Operates pallet jack to move refuse and supplies as needed.
• Completes assigned training modules including Pure Safety.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.


• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.


• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.


• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.


• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.


• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.


• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.


• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.


• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• 1+ years general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience in warehouse environment
