Job summary

Rise Baking Company is seeking a Sanitation Technician I for the 2nd shift to uphold food safety through cleaning of plant equipment and facilities in compliance with policies, FDA and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities include operating wash areas, disassembling equipment for cleaning, following SSOPs, handling chemicals safely, reporting safety and quality concerns, and supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum in kitchen cleaning or 1 year in a food plant sanitation role.
• Basic knowledge of pre-rinse/wash/rinse/sanitize steps.
• Understanding of proper top-down cleaning sequence for food safety.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation chemical usage and safety.
• Basic knowledge of lockout/tagout programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform wash area duties including pan washing and utensil cleaning.
• Disassemble and set up machines for cleaning and sanitation.
• Complete cleaning tasks per SSOPs.
• Identify equipment needing deep cleaning.
• Safely handle and use sanitation chemicals.
• Report safety, food safety, and quality concerns.
• Follow safety, food safety training and policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
