Job summary

Rise Baking Company is seeking a sanitation associate to support our food safety program and keep plant equipment and facilities clean to meet FDA/OSHA standards. You will perform pan washing, equipment cleaning, and follow SSOPs in a fast-paced bakery environment.

You will handle basic disassembly for cleaning, use chemicals safely, and report safety and quality concerns. The role requires 1 year of sanitation experience and a strong commitment to food safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in kitchen cleaning or sanitation in a food plant.
• Basic knowledge of pre-rinse/wash/rinse/sanitize steps.
• Understanding of top-down cleaning sequence for food safety.
• Knowledge of sanitation chemical usage.
• Familiarity with lockout/tagout programs.
• Ability to learn to clean all plant lines and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate pan washer and clean utensils as needed.
• Disassemble/setup for cleaning of equipment and piping.
• Complete cleaning tasks per SSOPs.
• Identify equipment needing deep cleaning.
• Use chemicals safely and effectively.
• Report safety, food safety, and quality concerns.
• Follow safety and food safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
