Job summary

George’s is seeking a sanitation team member to ensure cleaning and sanitizing of processing equipment and areas in their assigned zone. You will work with detergents and chemicals in a wet environment, which may be hot or cold, in a fast-paced setting with strict deadlines.

The role emphasizes safety, following Lock Out Tag Out procedures, and maintaining high attention to detail to prevent delays at shift start.

Qualifications

• Required 1 year of Sanitation and/or Processing experience.
• Able to work around cleaning detergents and chemicals in a wet environment.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assigned area while sanitation is being accomplished.
• Utilize chemicals and cleaners to sanitize equipment per prescribed processes.
• Use high pressure water hoses and hot water with hand scrubbers to clean equipment.
• Maneuver around and on top of equipment to reach cleaning areas.
• Work quickly to meet tight deadlines and ensure shift startup is not delayed.
