Job summary

George's Inc. is seeking a Sanitation team member to ensure cleaning and sanitizing of all processing equipment and areas within their area of responsibility. The job involves working around detergents and chemicals in a wet environment, with potential hot or cold conditions.

It is fast-paced, with tight deadlines and a strong emphasis on attention to detail. You'll operate high-pressure hoses and hot water systems, use hand scrubbers, and access hard-to-reach spaces on and around equipment.

Qualifications

• Required 1 year of Sanitation and/or Processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assigned area while sanitation is being accomplished.
• Utilize chemicals and cleaners to sanitize the equipment in accordance with prescribed processes and procedures.
• Utilize high pressure water hoses and hot water along with hand scrubbers or brushers to clean equipment.
• Maneuver in, around, and on top of equipment to reach areas needing to be cleaned.
• Work quickly and efficiently to meet tight deadlines to ensure shift startup is not delayed.
• Responsible for safety, making sure Lock Out Tag Out procedures and Fall Protection equipment are utilized when appropriate.
