Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a sanitation technician for the Wakefield production facility. This role emphasizes overall equipment cleanliness and strict adherence to food safety standards, with a secondary shift schedule.

You will execute master sanitation programs, follow SOPs and safety rules, and collaborate with teams to maintain quality. Weekend and overtime availability may be required for projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior manufacturing and/or sanitation experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
• Must obtain and maintain a pallet jack license; forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Able to work in cold, wet, noisy, dusty and humid environments.
• Willing to work weekends and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall equipment cleanliness and sanitation of department area.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly sanitation schedules for department area.
• Follow daily production start-up procedures.
• Adhere to GMPs and safety policies and reinforce safety as a Core Value.
• Work second shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work for projects.
• Cross-train in sanitation jobs.
• Report equipment/mechanical problems and reference CP Manual for questions about the sanitation program.
