Job summary

Michael Foods’ Wakefield facility is seeking a sanitation technician responsible for overall equipment cleanliness and adherence to sanitation schedules, ensuring food safety and quality across production areas. You will perform daily pre-op inspections, follow startup procedures, and cross-train in two sanitation roles, reporting equipment issues and safety concerns to management.

Weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall equipment cleanliness and sanitation of department area.
• Accountable for daily, weekly and monthly master sanitation schedules for department area.
• In charge of daily pre-op inspections.
• Responsible to follow daily production start-up procedures.
• Cross-trained in two sanitation jobs.
• Report any equipment/mechanical problems.
• Able to use team efforts in inspection of entire area.
• Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
• Follows sanitation schedule
• Replaces gaskets
• Making sure room is in compliance
• Able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Work independently and as a team
• Assumes personal responsibility to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone.
• Adheres to GMPs and maintains sanitary conditions and product quality.
• Able to work overtime and holidays when needed.
• Insures regulatory compliance at all times.
