Job summary

Portland Bottling Company in Clackamas, OR is seeking a Sanitation Technician to ensure all equipment, conveyors and facilities are cleaned according to SOPs and GMPs. The role involves cleaning food-contact surfaces and documenting procedures under time‑sensitive conditions.

  • 1–3 months of experience working in a manufacturing setting; experience in food or beverage manufacturing is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Basic math.
  • Demonstrated history of being reliable and dependable.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans beverage processing equipment and manufacturing equipment, COP and CIP.
  • Removes machine guards and accessories.
  • Cleans floors and conveyors around machines.
  • Uses floor scrubber/sweeper in warehouse areas.
  • Pressure washing.
  • Grease removal under fillers.

Due to a promotion, we are seeking a Sanitation Tech!

Job Summary


  • Starting pay: $ 19/hour, more for experienced Sanitation Techs

  • 3 weeks of PTO to start,


The Sanitation Technician is responsible to ensure the equipment, conveyors and facility are cleaned and verify that all cleaning practices are being followed. This position will clean and/or sanitize all equipment including food contact surfaces following strict standard operating procedures, strict good manufacturing procedures and strict food safety laws and accurately document the procedures. Will perform cleaning and sanitation duties for multiple departments under time sensitive conditions.


Key Responsibilities


  • Cleans the beverage processing equipment and manufacturing equipment, COP (clean out of place) and CIP (clean in place).

  • Removes machine guards and accessories.

  • Cleans floors and conveyors around machines.

  • Uses floor scrubber/sweeper in warehouse areas

  • Pressure washing

  • Grease removal under fillers

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required

  • 1 – 3 months of experience working in a manufacturing setting; experience in food or beverage manufacturing is preferred
