Job summary

Santa Monica Seafood, a long-standing seafood wholesaler with operations across the Southwest, is seeking a reliable janitorial associate for an afternoon shift. Work hours are 1:00pm to 9:30pm, Monday through Friday, with a pay rate of $19.50 per hour.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, windows, restrooms, and equipment, while maintaining a sanitary facility and adhering to safety standards. The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds,

Responsibilities

• Perform basic janitorial cleaning.
• Mop floors, clean windows, restrooms, and wipe down surfaces.
• Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition.
• Perform additional cleaning tasks as needed per scope of work.
• Clean multiple areas in the facility.

Santa Monica Seafood, as an 80-year-old privately owned company, is the largest specialty wholesale distribution and processor of fresh and frozen seafood in the Southwestern U.S. with over 200,000 SF of facilities in 12 locations In California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas. Santa Monica Seafood is also well known locally for its cafe in Santa Monica. Santa Monica Seafood was the first and still the only seafood company in the United States to achieve FSSC 22000 certification for food safety management systems, ISO 14001 certification for environmental management programs and BAP certification of its main processing facility.

Available Shifts:

1:00pm - 9:30pm (Monday through Friday)

Pay rate: $19.50 an hour.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic janitorial cleaning
• Mop Floors, clean windows, clean restrooms, wipe down cabinets, etc.
• Maintain working condition of cleaning food processing equipment.
• Perform all other cleaning responsibilities per the scope of work
• Clean multiple areas in facility

Job Requirements:

• Meticulous attention to detail
• Hard working and reliable
• Must be able to lift up to 25lb as needed
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Ability to push and pull cleaning carts, vacuum cleaners and other cleaning equipment.
• Minimum 6 months of experience
