Job summary

Aramark Corporation seeks a Steward Lead to oversee sanitation operations at the location and coordinate task timing for completion. The lead will cross-train employees across utility positions including dishwashers, sanitation, table attendants, and beverage station workers.

The role includes supervising cleaning, dish room sanitation, waste disposal, inventory support, and front-of-house assistance as needed, with focus on safety and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience as a steward/lead steward in a large restaurant, convention center, hotel or conference center is a plus.
• Supervisory experience, minimum of 1 year supervising a team of 8 or more.
• High school education or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises care and cleaning of floors, walls, baseboards, and equipment.
• Oversees sanitation and cleanliness of dish room and work stations.
• Removes and disposes of waste properly (including recycling).
• Coordinates dish room to ensure timely sanitation and storage of dishware and utensils.
• Maintains organization and labeling of chemical products.
• Ensures sanitation needs and service expectations are met.
• Assists in ordering inventory and weekly counts.
• Maintains storage areas for easy access and sequencing.
• Supports cross-training of stewards in dish room positions.
• Reports safety hazards and assists in safety observations.
• Assists in weekly/monthly cleaning schedules and front-of-house tasks.
