Job summary

Just Born, Inc. in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Sanitation Lead to oversee the sanitation team and ensure compliant cleaning across the facility.

You will lead daily activities, design and maintain the Master Sanitation Program, and coordinate with QA, Maintenance, and Production to keep operations safe and efficient. The role requires 3+ years of sanitation experience in food manufacturing or similar settings, plus leadership experience and knowledge of GMPs/HACCP.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation chemicals, equipment, and cleaning techniques.
• Familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily sanitation activities to ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of equipment, production areas, and facility.
• Design, implement, and improve the Master Sanitation Program with cleaning protocols and audits.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, FDA/OSHA requirements.
• Train and mentor sanitation staff on procedures and safety.
• Maintain sanitation schedules, records, and documentation.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections and swab testing to verify cleanliness.
• Troubleshoot sanitation issues and recommend preventive solutions.
• Collaborate with QA, Maintenance, and Production for seamless operations.
• Monitor chemical inventory and coordinate with vendors for supplies.
• Report sanitation or safety issues to management promptly.
• Assist in onboarding and performance evaluations for sanitation team members.
