Job summary

Flying Food Group is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor in Newark, NJ to lead daily sanitation operations, ensure GMP/HACCP compliance, and develop training programs for the sanitation team. You will manage the master sanitation schedule and coordinate with production and QA to uphold food safety standards.

The role requires 3+ years in food manufacturing, strong leadership, and proficiency with MS Office applications.

Qualifications

Proven experience as Sanitation Supervisor in a food production environment.
A minimum of 3 years' Experience in the food manufacturing industry.
You must also be familiar with the safe application of disinfectants and other chemicals.
Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
Knowledge of Food Industry quality, sanitation standards and requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, specifically in Excel, word and email

Responsibilities

Oversee daily sanitation operations implementing company policies related to a clean work environment.
Ensure GMP compliance and HACCP guidelines.
Leads and coordinates sanitation crew and master sanitation schedule.
Develop and present sanitation, GMP, and food safety training programs.
Audit training programs and coordinate with USDA and other agencies as needed.
Prepare reports on inspections and corrective actions.
Organize workflow and supervise staff.
