Responsibilities

• Monitor the facility for safety and sanitary infractions, and bring those infractions to a Supervisor.
• Day‑to‑day cleanliness of your assigned area, which may include sweeping dry spillage from underneath racks and pallets, mopping all spillage with a chemical compound between and behind food racks or wherever needed, picking up and transporting pallets to the return dock, pulling or cutting back plastic that surrounds the product in the pick slot, and picking up damaged product to recoup this damage for restocking.
• Maintain periodic work orders assigned by the Supervisor.

Job Description

This is a Full Time Warehouse Sanitation position. Responsibilities include operating a power scrubber, sweeping, dusting, mopping, removing debris from aisles, recouping damaged product, and stacking pallets emptied by the shipping department, and any other duties assigned by a Supervisor.

Will operate warehouse equipment such as electric order machines, fork-lifts, and a variety of other power tools needed to perform daily job functions.

The work environment may include grocery, frozen, perishable, and front office areas.

Key Job Responsibilities

As a Sanitation Department Associate, you will be responsible for:

• Safety: Promote a safe work environment ensuring that all department employees are adhering to OSHA and company safety policies. Accident prevention must be considered an inseparable part of everyday operations.
• Monitor the facility for safety and sanitary infractions, and bring those infractions to a Supervisor.
• Day‑to‑day cleanliness of your assigned area, which may include sweeping dry spillage from underneath racks and pallets, mopping all spillage with a chemical compound between and behind food racks or wherever needed, picking up and transporting pallets (approximately 40 pounds when empty) to the return dock, pulling or cutting back plastic that surrounds the product in the pick slot, and picking up damaged product (which could be in high places and weigh up to 100 pounds) to recoup this damage for restocking.
• Maintain periodic work orders assigned by the Supervisor.
