Job summary

Plochman, Inc. is seeking an hourly Sanitation Associate reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor in California. The role supports food safety programs by cleaning equipment, facilities, and related areas.

Responsibilities include COP/CIP, equipment disassembly for sanitation, ERP sanitation entries and chemical titration, while adhering to SOPs, GMPs, and safety rules. Qualifications include English proficiency, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, basic computer skills, teamwork, and forklift

Qualifications

• Read, write, and speak English.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Basic computer skills and teamwork ability.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Detail oriented with safety and GMP compliance.
• Able to drive a forklift and use basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize equipment, walls, floors, ceilings and other areas as needed using water, chemicals and detergents.
• Wash down equipment and floors and perform COP and CIP.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for sanitation purposes.
• Manage ERP transactions and sanitation registrations.
• Titrate chemical use and ensure SOPs/GMPs and safety rules are followed.
• Assist in cleaning other primary areas to support food safety and quality.
• Follow all sanitation procedures and perform Lock-out/Tag-out as required.
• Remove trash and perform other duties as assigned.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This is an hourly position that reports to the Sanitation Supervisor. This position assists and supports the Sanitation Supervisor in coordinating activities related to food safety and all sanitation programs.

SCOPE OF JOB FUNCTION

• Work with water, chemicals and detergents for the purpose of cleaning and sanitizing equipment, walls, floors, ceilings, and other areas as needed.
• Wash down equipment and floors.
• Performs COP and CIP.
• Performs disassembling and reassembly of equipment when needed for sanitation purposes.
• Responsible for ERP Transaction and sanitation registration.
• Performs titration on chemical use.
• Assures that SOP’s, GMP’s, and safety rules are strictly followed.
• May be required to clean other primary areas as needed to ensure food safety and quality.
• Strictly follow the established company sanitation procedures.
• Perform Lock-out, Tag-out on any equipment.
• Remove trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
